About The Conference

Consumer applications and services designed for industry leaders and practitioners within the communications engineering design, research, development, sales and marketing principles, CCNC represents a unique opportunity through which consumer electronic manufacturers (including those responsible for selling consumer devices, products, and services) join with the communications/networking manufacturers and service providers. This union will significantly enhance the ability of those individuals providing the communications and network infrastructure to better understand the needs, requirements and trends of consumer electronic applications and services (and vice versa).

CCNC 2006 will focus on today's growing population of internet citizens and the developing strong market for integrated home-networked voice and computer communications that can inter-work with entertainment devices, home security/surveillance systems, and kitchen appliances, all with transparent functionality to the mobile environment. Therefore, home networking is gaining increasing attention from industry spawning a range of dramatically different solutions including wireless, wire and power line networked communications environments, each with their own strength and special challenges to overcome. This is the leading edge of possibilities that can't even be imagined today for the home and beyond.

CCNC 2006 will present the latest approaches and technical solutions in the area of home networking, consumer networking, enabling technologies such as middleware, multimedia and novel applications and services. The conference will include a peer-reviewed program of technical sessions, business application sessions, tutorials, and demonstration sessions.

CCNC 2006 provides a compelling forum for formal discussion and socialization of many of these research challenges with seasoned practitioners and colleagues from throughout the industry
